Dear diary,

Today we had an very interesting conversational English class. It was given by a foreign teacher.

The class began at 8:00 in the morning. I got up a little late and arrived at the classroom without having my breakfast five minutes before the class began. Luckily, the teacher hadn't got there. So,I could eat a little. I was so hungry that I ate so quickly. Just as I was about to finish, a young guy came into the classroom and greeted us.I sat at the door and he must have seen me eating.Anyway,I put it away and he didn't say anything.

He looked like a Chinese but spoke very idiomatic and fluent English. To be honest,as he stepped into this class,I had thought he was a student from other class who walked into a wrong place. That confused me a little bit.

Then he introduced and said he was born in Shanxi province in China. He moved to America at an early age.Naturally he grew up there. No wonder his English was so great and was considered "a foreign teacher". He isn't very tall but he's good-looking.

He got to know us by shaking hands with every one of us since there are only 27 in our class. He was very humerous and used his funny gestures a lot when he was trying to explain something. He could speak out our Chinese name perfectly. However, he refused to speak Chinese in class for his purpose is to improve our English instead of our mother tongue. That's good.

It really made a great difference compared to the Chinese teacher last term. We don't have to stand up when answering questions and every body was free to speak whenever we want to. It makes us relaxed and happy. I was very excited to have that kinda class.

I'm so happy to have a good teacher and I sincerely hope he will enjoy staying here in Tianjin.
