A Brand-new Start
From this chapter,I'd like to write my college life concerned with English.
My mind couldn't help wandering backwards where my failure lied. I could say I entered university with a sorrow.For the first time I knew how fragile could I be.
Before we bagan our college study,as a rule,it was compulsory for us to join the military training in the campus.It would last 20 days consecutively.You may wonder what has it to do with my journey of learning English? Am I going to far away from the title?Well,not really.Just keep reading please.
Oh,I forgot to introduce something about my class.I was in class Three.There were altogether six classes of English majors.Our headteacher was male.He was quite young with a master degree.We had 27 students in class with only 6 boys.We came from different parts of China.Some north,some south,others west or centre.
Our dorms and even the beds we should sleep were arranged in advance.I was on the second floor.There were six girls in our room.Four from Tianjin,my hometown.One from HeNan and the other HeBei.
It seemed a lot of students felt more or less depressed as they didn't do well in college entrance exam.Maybe because it wasn't long after the end of the exam,so many were involved in a gloomy mood.I was very sad too plus the exhausted training happened everyday.I became extremely depressed at that time.
However,I didn't want my college life to go like that.It would be too awful! So I should find something to cheer myself up!" Sometimes the very thing you're looking for is the one thing you can see." Just as the lyrics goes.My source of happiness certainly lies in the procedure of learning English.
As I had waved goodbye to my high school days,I could joyfully pick up my English magazines again.Wow! Yeah! No matter how tired may we got due to the military training in the daytime,reading magazines and listeining to radio programmes had become my biggest pleasure.
Since then,I was much more happier thn ever before.I had changed suddenly.It seemed the sun is shining brightly again.The sky is azure again.The birds are singing again.The world is beautiful again...
